Can one date be Hijri and the other Gregorian?
Yes. Choose the calendar for each date; Hijri dates are converted with the Umm al-Qura calendar before counting.
Are the start and end days both counted?
By default we count from the start date up to the end date, not including it. Tick “Include the end date” for leave or contract periods that cover both days.
Why do Hijri and Gregorian months differ?
A Hijri month has 29 or 30 days and a Gregorian month 28 to 31, so the same period splits into different months and days.
