Saudi end of service calculator

For private-sector employees under the Saudi Labor Law.

Start date

End date

Actual wage: basic salary plus allowances such as housing and transport, and commissions unless your contract excludes them.

Why the job ended

How the award is calculated

Half a month's wage for each of the first five years, and a full month's wage for each year after that. Part years count pro rata (Article 84).

If you resign: nothing before 2 years, one third from 2 to 5 years, two thirds from more than 5 to under 10 years, and the full award after 10 years (Article 85).

The full award is also due if you leave because of force majeure, or if a female employee resigns within 6 months of her marriage contract or 3 months of giving birth (Article 87).

The same rules apply to fixed-term and open-ended contracts, and the 2025 Labor Law amendments did not change them.
