How do I show my Wi‑Fi QR code on my phone?
iPhone (iOS 18 and later): open the Passwords app, tap “Wi‑Fi”, choose the network and tap “Show Network QR Code”. On older versions you can see the password in Settings → Wi‑Fi → the (i) button next to the network, then make the code here.
Android: open Settings → Wi‑Fi (or “Network & internet”), tap the gear next to the connected network, then “Share” or “QR code”. On Samsung: Settings → Connections → Wi‑Fi → gear → “QR code”. Your phone may ask for your fingerprint or PIN.
How do I scan a Wi‑Fi QR code?
iPhone: open the Camera, point it at the code and tap “Join network”.
Android: open the Camera or Google Lens and point it at the code. Or go to Settings → Wi‑Fi → “Add network” → the QR icon next to it.
Menu names vary a little by phone maker and system version.
FAQ
Is my password sent to your site?
No. The code is made in your browser and the password never leaves your device.
Do Arabic network names work?
Yes. We encode the name as UTF-8 and check the code before you download it. A network name can be at most 32 bytes, about 16 Arabic letters.
What if I change the password?
The old code stops connecting. Make a new code with the new password.
The code won’t connect. Why?
Usually the name or password differs slightly, such as a capital letter or a space. Check both on the router and try “WPA/WPA2” (it covers WPA3 too).
